The clue is in my blog name 'Inspiration to Stitch'. I want to share with you anything that inspires me to re-create it in some form through the medium of 'Stitch' and also how I have interpreted original sources of inspiration into pieces of textile work. The absolute joy of inspiration is that one source can be interpreted in a myriad of different ways.
The inspiration could be something I see or own, a picture or photo, a piece of tree bark or a leaf, a scrap of material, a piece of broken crockery or object picked up on a walk, an article, poem or saying I have read or just something I like - absolutely anything! Be warned that the end result may share a very tenuous link with the original concept, my mind works in strange and wonderful ways...
I am sure my blog will evolve over time but initially I intend to share some of my 'stitch' history and show photos of finished work interspersed with whatever current project(s) I am working on.
Although I intend to update this blog regularly, due to the many calls on my time I am anticipating a bi-weekly update.
